Her defense followed a hybrid model in which some committee members attended in person, and the remainder of the audience attended virtually.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor was advised by Dr. Ginny Edgcomb. After graduation, Taylor will begin a postdoctoral position with Dr. Laura Katz at Smith College, where she will study protist evolution.
